Newsdesk, 4 November, 2023: “Driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to the North-east, the government and public enterprises like ONGC are working to improve lives in the region. ONGC’s Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital, with its state-of-the-art infrastructure, will enhance healthcare not only in Upper Assam but also in North-eastern India,” said Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri while addressing the inaugural function of the ONGC-supported multi-speciality hospital in Sivasagar on Saturday.Participating in the inaugural function, Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli said, “The Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital, built as one of ONGC’s biggest CSR projects and equipped with latest healthcare services, will largely benefit the people of the region.”
The Siu-Ka-Pha Multispeciality Hospital, built with a total investment of Rs 483.19 crore, is expected to provide healthcare services for over 1 lakh patients annually.The hospital will be managed and operated by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Pratisthan (BAVP).The state-of-the-art hospital, constructed in a plot of over 35 acres, has 300 beds, with a team of 70 specialised doctors offering a comprehensive range of medical services, including orthopaedics, trauma, oaediatric and NICU, obstetrics, gynaecology, ENT, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and advanced diagnostics. It has modular operating theatres, a critical care unit, and telemedicine, connecting patients with specialist healthcare providers nationwide.
