Anuj Rajkhowa, a well-known figure in Nazira’s social life, journalism, literature, and art, has worked as a teacher and journalist for various publications, including Aajir Asom and Dainik Janambhumi. He has also performed folk dances like Nepali dance, Kathi dance, and Banh dance on various stages.Due to health issues, both Biren Sharma (86) and Anuj Rajkhowa (73) are currently confined to their homes. The award ceremony was held at their residences, where they were felicitated with a gamusa, a traditional Assamese scarf, and a citation. The ceremony was attended by Mintu Chitrakar, president of Nazira Hangbadik Mancha, and other dignitaries, including social worker Prasanta Borthakur, Mahendra Bargohain and Wahid Ali, president of Galeki Press Club.Notably, a delegation led by Kanak Gogoi, state secretary of the Communist Party of India, attended the award ceremony and felicitated both awardees separately.
