Newsdesk,30June,2025 : The current state of the main roads of Nazira is very deplorable. The historic Dhodar Ali road, which is the only main road of Nazira has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time, reflecting the lack of effort from the people’s representatives to address the public’s suffering.Despite being a constituency rich in natural resources like stone, coal, and oil, and having institutions like ONGC, the development in the area is negligible. The assurances given by the departmental authorities after protests and agitations by various organizations have proven to be hollow.The construction work on Nazira’s historic Naga Ali road has been left incomplete, and the road has become increasingly damaged. The local road sub-division office seems to be indifferent to the situation, with contractors visiting the office only when work is demanded.Despite frequent visits by the Union Minister of State Pabindra Margherita, the development of Nazira’s roads is delayed. The construction work on roads like Na-Kapahowa and Rewati Kapahowa has also been neglected, and the roads are becoming increasingly damaged.The question remains: who will develop Nazira? This will be a major concern in the days to come.
