HYDERABAD: Digital loan sharks pushed another man to suicide with their intimidating tactics of securing confidential client data and circulating defamatory messages or their morphed photographs online. A 33-year-old fireman with Telangana Disaster Response and Fire Services flung himself before a speeding train early Tuesday and his mutilated body was recovered from the tracks between Shivarampally and Shastripuram railway stations. Police inquiry pointed to harassment by loan app operators in what could be the third suicide in a fortnight in the two Telugu states. Earlier, a 25-year-old colliery employee and resident of Godavarikhani too tossed himself before a train after his morphed nude photos with women were circulated online and a 24-year-old Guntur housewife recorded a chilling video of her ordeal before hanging herself from a lofty billboard. On Tuesday, Y Sudhakar, a 2011 batch fireman, left home early on the pretext of taking a walk and did not return. Around 8.30 am, a lineman noticed a mangled body on the tracks, said Kacheduda railway police, who reached the spot around 10 am.
