NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim bail to Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair in all six FIRs registered against him in Uttar Pradesh, and also ordered his immediate release. The Supreme Court bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud said there was absolutely no justification in keeping Zubair in custody when the Delhi court has granted him bail in a FIR registered by its special cell. CHENNAI: In a reprieve to AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, the Madras high court on Wednesday directed the Tamil Nadu revenue department to hand over the possession of the party headquarters in Chennai to EPS. Justice N Sathish Kumar restrained the members of the AIADMK from entering the headquarters for one month. Police are also directed to ensure that no untoward incidents happen on the issue.
